Why does it have to rain in fall

This is going to be my last fall, as soon we will be moving away from PA. Away from the USA.. and back to india. where the people are more colorful but the leaves stay green.
I think Fall is the most beautiful season of all. It reminds you that life is short, there are only a few days left before the harsh winter starts and to make the best of it. Every year we would make long trips either to the New England area or Shenandoah to "see fall colours". Last year fall was very disappointing. The rain came and stayed and killed the leaves before they had a chance to blush. And this year, I have another week left, and I hope i see some color before I leave.
